Rival ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Rival mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our app.

We collect the following information when you use Rival:

• Account Information: Email address, username, and authentication credentials (via Apple Sign In or email registration).
• Usage Data: Predictions made, watch parties joined, messages sent, and app interaction data for improving the experience.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and push notification tokens for delivering notifications.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app's features (predictions, leaderboards, watch parties)
• To send push notifications about game starts, prediction results, and party invites
• To display your username and stats on leaderboards
• To enable social features (friend lists, activity feeds, watch party chat)
• To improve the app experience through anonymous usage analytics

Voice Chat

Rival offers voice chat in watch parties powered by LiveKit. Audio is streamed in real-time and is not recorded or stored. Microphone access is only activated when you explicitly join a voice room.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except:

• With service providers who assist in operating the app (hosting, push notifications)
• When required by law or to protect our rights

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen, which permanently removes all your data.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission. Authentication tokens are stored securely in the device Keychain.

Children's Privacy

Rival is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

No Gambling

Rival is a free prediction game. No real money is wagered, won, or lost. XP and leaderboard positions are for entertainment purposes only.

Your Rights

You can:

• Access your data through the Profile screen
• Update your username and preferences at any time
• Delete your account permanently (Profile > Delete Account)
• Control notification preferences (Profile > Notification Settings)

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
